Signing in
Your address, passwords and the email code.
Where do I sign in?
Every business has its own address, like yourstore.inventprosystems.com. Open it, or press Sign in at the top of this page and type your store ID. It's in your welcome email.
I'm the owner and forgot my password.
Contact support. We email a reset link to the address on your account; it's valid for 60 minutes.
A cashier forgot their password.
The store owner resets it: Staff → Cashiers → Reset PW next to the cashier, then tells the cashier the new one.
I'm not getting the sign-in code.
Check Spam / Junk, wait a minute and press Resend code. If your email address has changed, contact support.
My account says it's locked.
After several wrong passwords the account pauses for a few minutes, then unlocks by itself. Wait, then try again carefully, or reset the password.
It says the account is signed in on another device.
A cashier account works on one device at a time. Press Use here to continue on this device; the other one is signed out.
The till says the subscription is paused.
The store's monthly InventPro payment is overdue. Ask your store owner: they sign in and pay from the Billing page, and the till works again right away.
A cashier can't sign in after a plan change.
They were turned off because the smaller plan has fewer cashiers. After an upgrade, a store owner turns them on again in Staff → Cashiers.
Using InventPro
Sales, refunds, items and staff.
How do I add a new cashier?
Store owners: Staff → Cashiers → Add Cashier. Your plan sets how many: Starter 1 in total, Business 2 per store, Enterprise unlimited.
A cashier left. Should I delete them?
Press Turn off next to them instead. They can no longer sign in, their sales history stays, and they stop counting towards your plan.
How do I give a refund?
Look up the bill in Returns, enter what comes back, pick a reason and process the refund. Cashiers can refund small amounts themselves, up to a limit the owner sets; bigger refunds are done by the owner.
How do I change the sales tax?
Store owners: Settings → Tax & Refunds → type the new % → Save. New bills use it right away.
How does the cash change work?
With payment method Cash, the cashier taps or types the cash received and InventPro shows the change, which also prints on the receipt.
Can I delete a bill?
No. Bills are a permanent record. To undo a sale, return all of it.
Do refunds lower my revenue figures?
Yes. Revenue Today and the revenue chart show sales minus refunds, counted on the day the refund was given.
Why can't I see bills older than a month?
Starter and Business show the last 31 days. Older bills are kept and appear again on Enterprise.
Can I put my logo on receipts?
Yes. Store owners add their company name, address, logo, phone and return policy for each store in Settings → Receipt Settings.
An item is greyed out on the till.
It's out of stock. The owner raises its quantity in Inventory, or unticks Track stock.
How do I sell a service like delivery?
Add it as an item and untick Track stock. It never runs out.
A cashier forgot to clock out.
The owner closes the shift in Staff → Staff Management → Force Clock Out. Shifts left open over 16 hours close themselves.
Who can see my sales?
Only your store owners, and cashiers for their own bills. Our support tools never show your sales, refunds, staff hours or payroll, and InventPro doesn't process your card payments.
Printers & devices
What you need at the counter.
What do I need to run InventPro?
A computer, tablet or phone with a web browser and an internet connection. Nothing to install. Add a receipt printer, a label printer and a barcode scanner if you like; the device camera also scans barcodes.
What receipt printer do I need?
Any thermal receipt printer that works with your computer or tablet: the standard 80 mm roll, or a small 58 mm one. An ordinary office printer works too. The store owner picks the paper size in Settings → Receipt Settings.
What label printer do I need for barcodes?
Any thermal label printer that works with your computer (Rollo, Zebra, DYMO and similar), with 2.25″ × 1.25″ stickers, the usual size. Other sizes and plain office printers work too.
Does it work on a tablet or phone?
Yes, in the web browser. Tablets get a big cash keypad, and on phones the menu sits at the bottom.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The till keeps selling for up to 24 hours, by cash or card. Sales are saved on the device and sent to InventPro by themselves when the internet is back, so the counter never stops. Returns and reports wait for the internet.
Can I change how products look on the till?
Yes. Store owners pick Classic, Cards or Large cards for each store in Settings → Till Appearance.
Plans & billing
Your plan, payments and changes.
How do I pay for InventPro?
From your own account: Settings → Billing, by card or US bank account, through Stripe. The setup fee and first month are paid together; after that the monthly price is charged automatically each month.
How do I change my card or get a receipt?
Settings → Billing → Manage payment. There you change your card or bank account and download past receipts. Stripe also emails a receipt after every payment.
What happens if a payment fails?
A note appears on your Dashboard and Stripe tries again. You have 7 days after the paid month ends to pay; after that InventPro pauses until it's paid. Nothing is deleted.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Billing → Manage payment → Cancel. InventPro keeps working until the end of the month you paid for. Your data is kept, and you can start again later without a new setup fee.
Can I add another store or change plan?
Yes. Contact us. Starter has 1 store, Business up to 3, Enterprise as many as you need. Upgrades take effect right away; you pay the difference in setup fee. Compare plans.
What happens if I move to a smaller plan?
The change starts at the end of your billing month. If you have more stores or cashiers than the new plan allows, you choose which ones stay; the rest are paused, never deleted.
A store says it's paused.
It was left out when your plan got smaller. It can't make new sales, but its bills and reports are kept. An upgrade brings it back.
Do I lose my payslips on Starter?
No. Starter doesn't make new payslips, but the ones you already made stay readable.
